Peer Review Process
International Journal of Informatics and Systems Technology (IJIST) implements a Double-Blind Peer Review process, where the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept anonymous throughout the review process. This policy aims to ensure objectivity, transparency, and the highest scientific quality of the published articles.
Every submitted manuscript undergoes several evaluation stages before publication. In the initial stage, the editors conduct a preliminary screening to check administrative completeness, alignment with the journal's focus and scope, compliance with the writing template, and a similarity/plagiarism check. Manuscripts that meet these criteria will be forwarded to at least two independent reviewers who possess expertise relevant to the paper's specific field.
Reviewers will evaluate the manuscript based on scientific novelty, technical soundness, methodology, quality of discussion, and adherence to publication ethics. Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the editor will make one of the following editorial decisions: accept, minor revision, major revision, resubmit for review, or reject.
Authors who receive a revision request are required to modify their manuscript in accordance with the feedback provided by the reviewers and editors within the specified deadline. Once the revision is deemed satisfactory, the article will proceed to the copyediting, layout editing, and proofreading stages before being published in the scheduled journal issue.
The average time for the initial screening and assignment is 2 weeks, and the peer review process typically takes 4 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and the quality of the submission.
